new signing + new single

Welcome to TAKESHI'S CASHEW

With “Armadillo,” Takeshi’s Cashew are embarking on a new phase of their instrumental cosmo-funk universe. The single also marks their first release under their new label deal with Siluh Records.

After a creative hiatus, the Viennese sextet returned to the studio with renewed focus to record their third album. “Armadillo” offers the first glimpse into an expanded sonic universe, where the band’s analog sound is complemented by electronic textures without losing its organic joy of playing. Synthesizers, vintage computer sounds, and hypnotic repetitions subtly shift the sound in new directions—between Krautrock references à la Harmonia and Michael Rother and an 8-bit nostalgia zone reminiscent of Nintendo and the Commodore 64.

new album

SALAMIRECORDER presents his new LP "Inside The Cage"

With his new album "Inside The Cage", 23-year-old Viennese scene hero SALAMIRECOREDER sets off a 60s psych-rock/garage firework display. He recorded all the songs himself and captured them analog on a 4-track tape recorder. Without any frills, the ten songs exude the directness of a ’60s lo-fi groove—a sound that can likely only be captured with such stylistic confidence through analog technology. In May, he’ll be touring all over Germany with his backing band, “The Hi-Fi Phonos.”
