CULK’s fourth album is called "smogstar" and will be released on September 4. Pre-orders are now available here.

The big album release show will take place on October 1, 2026, at Flex in Vienna. Also performing will be the bands SWELLE and POWER PLUSH. We’re offering special early-bird tickets for an unbeatable €18, which you can purchase here until August 14.

Together with the Viennese events collective Fractal Nights, we are presenting the two-day PLUM! festival on 18 and 19 September 2026, featuring 10 international live artists at the newly relocated Kaorle collective on the Otto Wagner Areal.

Featuring BREZEL GÖRING (the living half of Stereo Total), KONOMONO (Krautrock from Switzerland), MILKWEED (experimental mysticism from the UK), FLORA (twee-pop from Stuttgart), GRUMPER (featuring members of sinks from Brno), DOC FLIPPERS (quirky country-punk from Leipzig), SMILE (Cologne noise-rock outfit with a US vocalist), THE HOMESICK (formerly Sub Pop, now art-pop), GEO (Dutch no-wave), ZOOMIES (folky pop from Leipzig.

On a balmy summer’s afternoon (just before the massive heatwave), CULK invited us to their rehearsal space in Vienna’s 10th district. It was an intimate event in the legendary brick building, which has served as a rehearsal space, studio and venue for decades (I remember a DIY festival organised by Fettkakao around 2006).

CULK played through their new album “smogstar” in its entirety for friends and family, whilst being filmed by Gabriel Hyden and Kevin Pham.
