The Wien Machine steamrolling Berlin

Alongside the annual music fair Popkomm in Berlin Austrian music network AMAN is setting up a delicious showcase of homegrown bands at Maria am Ostbahnhof. Since our very own Francis International Airport were invited to present their upcoming album we can’t help but join the party ourselves. Further good reasons to show up are performances by newcomers Ginga (monkey) and whizz kids Bilderbuch (ink) as well as a swell afterparty. See y’all in Berlin.

Maria am Ostbahnhof /// Doors 9pm /// Ginga 10pm /// Bilderbuch 11pm /// Francis Int Airport 12am /// Entry 7Euro.

Francis International Airport spotted in the woods

The FIA boys just returned from some adventerously weird countryside trip with a video to their new single Monsters. On behalf of the band Siluh Records disapproves all rumours indicating the involvment of funny looking mushrooms. By the way props to the lovely fellows of Polaroid Productions!

MONSTERS is the first single to Francis’ 2nd album due in october 2010. The song is available as 7inch or can be downloaded on all those thingies like itunes.

Sweet Sweet Moon taking on Beirut

Sweet Sweet Moon aka Matthias Frey is figuring out how Beirut’s My Night With The Prositiute From Marseille would have sounded if written by Owen Pallett. After amazing response at Sweet Sweet Moon’s recent live shows in Germany and Austria, Siluh Records is hustling to make this song available asap. Matthias’ interpretation of Beirut’s major hit comes with his unmistakable voice, a straight forward beat and dense layers of cunningly arranged violins – all set up and executed by Vienna’s most charming onepalband itself.

The song is available as a download by July 18th on itunes and bandcamp
